We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Bull as Senior Advisor to Resonanz Capital. With over 35 years of experience in global markets, macroeconomics, quantitative strategies, derivatives, and multi-asset portfolio management, Michael brings deep expertise to support the next phase of our growth.

He began his financial career in 1990 as an equity derivatives analyst at Paribas Capital Markets in London, before joining the buy-side with roles including at the Quantum Fund (Soros Fund Management). As co-portfolio manager of a global absolute return fund of hedge funds on one of the world’s largest institutional managed account platforms, he achieved a top 2% peer ranking over a decade.

Most recently, he served as Chief Investment Officer at Hawthorne Asset Management, a MAS-regulated firm based in Singapore.

Before entering the financial industry, Michael completed his doctorate (D.Phil.) in Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford and was a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University — a background that reflects the analytical discipline and intellectual rigor he brings to investment management.

In his new role, Dr. Bull will advise on strategic priorities such as manager selection, quantitative index strategies, and the evolution of our multi-strategy offering — particularly in the context of our recently launched Jazz fund.

“I am incredibly pleased to be joining Resonanz Capital as Senior Advisor. Their platform is world-leading. I relish the opportunity to help Resonanz Capital grow and continue their extraordinary success for many years,” said Dr. Michael Bull.

Vincent Weber, CEO of Resonanz Capital, shared:

“Michael brings an exceptional blend of academic rigor and institutional investment experience. His voice will be invaluable as we scale our platform and continue offering forward-thinking solutions for professional investors.”

We are excited to welcome Michael Bull to the team and look forward to working together as we shape the future of liquid alternatives and quantitative investing.
