Resonanz X-Ray
Investment analysis for your professional work.
For business use only. Resonanz X-Ray is intended for people acting in a business or professional capacity. It is not offered to private customers for personal investment use.
Resonanz X-Ray helps you explore investment histories, compare funds and examine portfolio performance. Upload your data, ask a question and receive calculations with explanations of the dates, assumptions and limitations that matter.
Access is currently free. Your chosen AI platform may have its own subscription or availability requirements.
What you can explore
- Performance: cumulative returns, period returns and comparisons over a shared history.
- Risk: volatility, drawdowns and recovery, including how results change over time.
- Investment drivers: factor correlations, exposures and contributions to return or risk, where the inputs support the calculation.
- Portfolios: historical allocations, portfolio returns and supported contribution analyses.
- Data quality: missing observations, unclear units and other questions that should be resolved before interpreting results.
Get started
- Connect Resonanz X-Ray in your supported AI platform using the installation instructions provided to you. During the private rollout, contact support for access instructions.
- Sign in or create a Resonanz X-Ray account and verify your email when asked.
- Ask for an upload template, or provide your investment history and explain what the values represent.
- Choose a starting question. Ask for a brief overview if you want guidance, or request a specific calculation directly.
The optional guided tour introduces a few useful starting points. You can move straight to a specific analysis at any time.
Prepare your data
For calculations, use a supported CSV, Excel or JSON template. Ask:
Give me an example file for uploading monthly fund returns.
Include the following information where it applies:
| Information | Example or explanation |
|---|---|
| Investment name | A clear name for each fund, holding or comparison series. |
| Dates and values | Observation dates and the corresponding returns or valuations. |
| Value type and units | Distinguish a valuation such as 100 from a return such as 2%. Follow the template's percentage or decimal convention. |
| Currency | The currency of each series, and the portfolio currency when relevant. |
| Frequency and calendar | Daily, weekly or monthly; for daily data, explain whether weekends or particular market closures are expected. |
| Return meaning | Whether returns are total returns or already have cash returns subtracted. State net or gross of fees when known. |
| Portfolio allocations | Complete weights, their effective dates and whether they apply before or after that period's return. |
Use values rather than spreadsheet formulas or macros. You do not need to guess an unknown convention: say that it is unknown. X-Ray can ask for clarification when the distinction affects your requested calculation.
Missing observations are not automatically treated as zero returns. If you want to change or fill data, specify the change and review the proposed edit.
What happens after an upload
X-Ray checks the structure and meaning of the supplied data, identifies the history needed for your question, and aligns compatible observation periods. Finer data can be combined into coarser periods; monthly returns cannot be split into invented daily returns.
The calculation then uses the appropriate return basis and produces a table, chart or numerical result. Relevant dates, units, missing coverage and estimated inputs accompany the answer. Preserve these details when sharing the result.
Your working data is temporary. Keep your original files and save any results you need. See the privacy notice for the distinction between working data, account records and your AI platform's conversation history.
A note on currency comparisons
Where applicable, X-Ray compares returns using a cash-baseline adjustment: it removes the source currency's cash return and adds the selected currency's cash return on matching intervals. This does not include exchange-rate gains or losses and is not the actual return of converting an investment between currencies. An excess return means return above a cash baseline, not return with all currency movements removed.
Questions to try
- “Check this file for missing dates or unclear conventions before analyzing it.”
- “Give me a brief overview of this fund's performance and drawdowns.”
- “Compare these two investments over their shared history.”
- “How have this fund's factor exposures changed over time?”
- “Calculate this portfolio's returns using the supplied allocation dates.”
X-Ray provides analytical information. It does not place trades or manage your account. Historical results and AI-generated explanations can be incomplete or incorrect and do not guarantee future performance. Review the calculations and their assumptions before relying on them.
